First Highlights - German Moto Masters Oschersleben 2024

Erste Highlights - German Moto Masters Oschersleben 2024

Two weeks ago was the season finale of the German Moto Masters in Oschersleben with races 9 and 10, where we wanted to continue the upward trend that we had throughout the season. In order to be able to further develop the bike in the future, we have connected a data recording system from AIM. At this point, many thanks to Flo from Codefactory for his help!

The first day of training went very well with a time of 1:35 in the morning. In the afternoon we tested a different setup for the wheelbase and gear ratio, but this made the bike much more unstable and no improvement in times was possible. At the end of the day we were in the top 10!

On day 2 we were able to up the ante with a time of 1:34.6 in the first training session. This time was also our qualifying time for the first race, which gave us a good starting position of P11 (minus guest starter P10). After a good start and a time of 1:34.0 in the first flying lap, we were finally able to finish in P9. Goal for the day achieved!

On the third day we wanted to take the next step forward to the 1:33 times. We wanted... During the warm-up, the bike unfortunately ended up in the gravel bed in the hotel curve during the out lap. The crash occurred when turning (without gas) from the triple left into the hotel curve at an angle of 18.9 degrees, and the rear wheel lost grip. The crash was only due to the rear tire being too cold, as the whole lap was driven much slower than usual and 18.9 degrees of incline is not much. In comparison: the other laps were at this point at an angle of 25 degrees and up to 7 km/h more. As there were only two hours until the race, there was no time to waste and we had to rebuild the bike. Thanks to a few helpers, we managed to finish building the bike one minute before the pit lane light turned green. Despite the stress of the crash, the first flying lap was again a 1:34.0 and the final result was P10, which we can be absolutely satisfied with.

Next up is the final round of the German Endurance Cup on October 3rd, which will also be our last event for this season.

The bike has developed into a rocket over the season, which is why we are very confident for next season :)
