The Kit S was developed to reduce fork friction. The easy sliding of the fork is absolutely necessary when braking, as the forces involved can twist the fork legs due to the exponentially increasing friction. An original fork equipped with Kit S is smoother throughout and gives the rider improved feedback from the front wheel when braking hard and entering corners.Gliding vs. Adhesive Force:
The KIT S reduces the "sticking" of the surfaces at high breakaway torques and at the time of the first force application enormously, the fork can react faster and more precisely.
Kit S contains
A pair of sliding bushings for the outer tube of the fork with a special anti-friction coating. These bushings are each embedded in a ring made of 7075 aluminum, the dimensions of which are calibrated to ensure perfect interaction between the piston and the fork tube.
A pair of seals between the piston rod and the closure piece, with new sealing edges and innovative machining for self-lubrication, which greatly reduces friction.
