BMC - Racing air filter for Yamaha YZF-R6 Type: RJ05 / RJ09 (model year 1999-2005)

General Description

The BMC motorcycle race air filter differs from the normal BMC sports air filter in that it has an even higher air flow rate (up to 60%) without negatively affecting the filtering effect. It can be recognized by a yellow stripe on the filter surface. It is recommended that the BMC race air filter is only used for motorsports. The race filter must be cleaned more frequently and most motorcycles require a new adjustment of the mixture preparation. This is done either by an additional control unit such as the Power Commander, a new mapping or a larger jet of the carburettor.

These BMC Race air filters are oiled at the factory and are delivered ready for installation.
