General Description

The top tank cover replaces the original part using the original mounting points. The tank cover connects the two upper fairing halves and gives the V4 an even more aggressive look. Of course, the Ilmberger carbon part is provided with recesses for the engine exhaust air. The carbon part is delivered with a matt surface and therefore fits perfectly with the matt carbon parts that are partly standard or offered by Ducati Performance.

The main focus is on weight savings (usually a saving of around 70% compared to the original component) and greater rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, covered with a clear plastic coating to protect it against environmental influences.
This plastic coating surpasses the usual clear varnish coating in terms of protection, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores points technically, it also clearly underlines the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
