General Description
The Ilmberger alternator cover (gloss) for the Ducati Panigale V4 / V4 Sund Streetfighter V4 is delivered with a glossy surface and thus stands in contrast to the original Ducati Performance parts, which are delivered in matt carbon. The Ilmberger carbon alternator cover sits exactly on the standard part and protects it reliably. The assembly takes placeusing standard mounting points.
The focus is on low weight (usually a saving of around 70% compared to an original component) and greater rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, covered with a clear plastic coating to protect it against environmental influences.
This plastic coating surpasses the usual clear varnish coating in terms of protection, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores points technically, it also clearly underlines the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
