Ilmberger Carbon alternator cover, carbon for BMW S1000RR Stocksport/Racing (from model year '10-)
General Description
The carbon alternator cover for the BMW S1000RR Stocksport/Racing (2010-current) is partially screwed onto the alternator cover screws and additionally glued to a small point on the alternator cover in the front area. This product complements the vehicle and provides additional protection for the vehicle against damage. The parts are mounted using the adhesive strips provided and/or using the original mounting points. The carbon part was manufactured in an autoclave in accordance with the latest guidelines entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material and in the next step, as is our usual practice, was coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating far exceeds the usual clear varnish coating in terms of its protective effect, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores points technically, it also clearly underlines the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
