General Description
The upper tank cover in carbon for the BMW S1000RR Stocksport/Racing (2010-2014) replaces the original component using the original attachment points. The main focus is on weight savings (usually a saving of around 70% compared to the original component) and greater rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured in an autoclave in accordance with the latest guidelines entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material and in the next step, as is our usual practice, covered with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating greatly exceeds the usual clear varnish coating in terms of its protective effect, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores points technically, it also clearly underlines the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
